The Team Leader will be responsible for supervising education counsellors, monitoring student enquiries and applications, improving conversion rates, and ensuring the counselling team provides high-quality student support from initial enquiry to enrolment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, guide, and support a team of education counsellors in daily student recruitment activities.

Monitor student enquiries, follow-ups, applications, offers, deposits, CAS progress, and enrolment outcomes.

Support counsellors in advising students on UK universities, courses, entry requirements, scholarships, tuition fees, and application procedures.

Allocate leads to counsellors and ensure timely follow-up with students, parents, agents, and international branches.

Review team performance and support counsellors in achieving monthly and intake-based recruitment targets.

Provide training and guidance to counsellors on university updates, admission requirements, documentation, credibility interviews, and student communication.

Coordinate with the application, compliance, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a smooth student journey.

Handle complex student cases and support counsellors with difficult enquiries or escalations.

Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and ensure the counselling team updates student information properly.

Prepare regular reports on team performance, conversion rates, pending cases, and recruitment progress.

Support overseas branches and representatives in Nepal, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana, and Pakistan with counselling guidance when required.

Ensure all counselling activities are professional, ethical, and aligned with partner university expectations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Management, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.

Experience in student counselling, student recruitment, admissions, education consultancy, or team supervision.

Good understanding of the UK higher education sector and international student application process.

Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills.

Ability to motivate counsellors and improve team performance.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple students, deadlines, and recruitment targets.

Confident using email, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, online meeting platforms, and digital communication tools.

Professional, target-driven, and able to work under pressure.

Desirable

Experience working with students from Nepal, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana, or Pakistan.

Knowledge of UK university admissions, student visa processes, CAS procedures, and credibility interview preparation.

Previous experience leading a counselling, sales, or student recruitment team.

Ability to speak additional languages relevant to international student markets.

Experience working with university representatives, agents, or overseas branches.
