Compliance Manager
Job Summary
Job Purpose
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for reviewing student applications, checking documents, identifying risks, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that the company follows ethical and professional recruitment practices. The role will support the admissions, counselling, and international branch teams to reduce errors, avoid compliance issues, and improve the quality of student submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Review student applications and documents before submission to universities and education partners.
Check academic certificates, transcripts, passports, English test results, CVs, personal statements, references, financial documents, and other required documents.
Identify incomplete, incorrect, inconsistent, or high-risk applications and advise the team on required actions.
Ensure students receive accurate information about admissions, tuition fees, scholarships, credibility interviews, visa-related preparation, and general UK study requirements.
Support counsellors, application officers, and overseas branches with compliance guidance and document-checking procedures.
Monitor application quality, offer conditions, pending documents, CAS requirements, and university compliance updates.
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including document checks, compliance notes, risk comments, and student communication history.
Work closely with UK universities, pathway providers, internal teams, and international branches to resolve compliance-related queries.
Provide training to staff and overseas teams on documentation standards, genuine student checks, credibility interview preparation, and ethical recruitment practices.
Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management, including application quality, risk cases, pending documents, and process improvement recommendations.
Ensure all recruitment and application activities are professional, ethical, transparent, and aligned with partner university expectations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Law, Management, International Relations, or a related field.
Experience in compliance, admissions, student recruitment, education consultancy, or university application processing.
Good understanding of UK higher education admissions and international student recruitment processes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and potential risks.
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with students, counsellors, application teams, universities, agents, and overseas branches.
Confident using email, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, university portals, and online communication tools.
Professional, responsible, and able to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
Desirable
Knowledge of UK student visa processes, CAS procedures, credibility interviews, and university compliance requirements.
Experience working with students from Nepal, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana, or Pakistan.
Previous experience in document verification, quality assurance, risk assessment, or admissions compliance.
Experience training staff or overseas representatives on compliance procedures.
