Job Purpose

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with students, agents, universities, and overseas branches, and increasing student recruitment for UK education providers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to increase student recruitment for UK universities and colleges.

Build and maintain relationships with education agents, schools, colleges, universities, and international partners.

Coordinate with branches and representatives in Nepal, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana, and Pakistan.

Support overseas teams with university updates, application processes, documentation requirements, and student recruitment guidance.

Monitor enquiries, applications, offers, deposits, CAS progress, and enrolment outcomes.

Represent the company at education fairs, webinars, networking events, and student recruitment activities.

Support students and partners with accurate information about courses, universities, scholarships, fees, and general application procedures.

Work closely with the marketing team on campaigns, social media promotions, webinars, and lead-generation activities.

Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and prepare regular recruitment and performance reports.

Ensure all recruitment activities are professional, ethical, and compliant with partner university expectations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, International Relations, or a related field.

Experience in business development, student recruitment, education consultancy, sales, or partnership management.

Good understanding of the UK higher education sector and international student recruitment.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work with international students, agents, partners, and branch teams.

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage targets, deadlines, and student pipelines.

Confident using email, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and online communication tools.

Desirable

Experience working with markets such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana, or Pakistan.

Knowledge of UK university admissions, student visa processes, and credibility interviews.

Existing network of education agents, student recruitment partners, or university contacts.

Experience managing overseas representatives or branch teams.
